Where We Work

Our operations commenced in 2018 in Buyende District, home to Lake Nakuwa, one of the ten Wetlands of International Importance in Uganda. This stunning lake, renowned for its ecological significance, drew our attention to the urgent need for conservation efforts. We were particularly motivated to protect the region’s remarkable shoebill population, which had tragically fallen victim to the actions of uninformed fishermen. Later, we established another office in Wakiso District to better support and expand our conservation initiatives.
